The College of Arts and Letters, San Diego State University, provides the physical home and core support for ISTEP.  Support for collaborative K-12 Outreach Programs also comes from the SDSU Center for Latin American Studies, a federally-funded Title VI National Resource Center; the Chinese Studies and Language Program via a Title VI Undergraduate International Studies and Foreign Language grant; and the SDSU Confucius Institute.

Past funders have included the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Hitachi Foundation, Southern California Edison Company, Danforth Foundation, Global Perspective in Education, Matsushita Foundation, Tinker Foundation, and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.

Since 1986, ISTEP has served as the San Diego Regional Resource Center for the California International Studies Project, a California Subject Matter Project.

We would also like to acknowledge our valued co-sponsors and collegues that have collaborated with us to bring you our many programs: The Middle East Outreach Council, San Diego Center for Economic Education, San Diego County Office of Education and San Diego State University's Center for Islamic & Arabic Studies, Department of Religious Studies and International Student Center.
